On this page Washington Square posts notices of community events of interest to our residents. It's different from Things to Do in that they're community oriented, often educational or organizational. Most are submitted by the City of Santa Ana Community Development Resource Network. We try to update this page regularly so check back often.
1) July 25th The Wilshire Square Neighborhood Association is holding its 2009 Summer Concert on Saturday, July 25 at the intersection of South Ross and West Russell streets in Santa Ana.
This year's theme is "Let the Good Times Roll."
The Full Spectrum Band will play oldies, current tunes and Latin music under the stars from 7 to 11 p.m.
Guests are invited to bring blankets, lawn chairs and picnic dinners to the free event, or to reserve a table that fits 6 to 8 people.
Attendees can also showcase their creative talents by decorating their tables. Set up starts at 6 p.m., and prizes will be awarded to the best decorated.
To reserve a table at the early bird price, send a check for $25 by June 30 to the Wilshire Square Neighborhood Association, P.O. Box 2441, Santa Ana, 92707-0441. Information: Call 714-558-2873. This is a must for Washington Square residents, it's close and a lot of fun and you can celebrate your webmaster's birthday in style!
